Taghazout at a Glance
Getting There
Fly into Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA), the closest gateway, with direct flights from many Arab and European cities. From the airport, Taghazout is about 45 minutes north by taxi or a shared shuttle.
- By air: Agadir (AGA) is fastest. Marrakech (RAK) is a scenic 3-hour drive if you want to see the city first.
- Airport transfer: Pre-book a taxi or shuttle; agree the fare before you set off.
- From inside Morocco: A comfortable CTM or Supratours bus to Agadir, then a short taxi to Taghazout.
- Getting around: The village is walkable; rent a scooter or car for Tamraght, Imsouane and Paradise Valley.
Where to Stay
Taghazout is small, so almost everything is a short walk from the beach. These are the areas nomads tend to base themselves in.
Taghazout village
The heart of it: cafés, surf shops and easy access to Hash Point and Anchor Point.
Tamraght & Aourir
A few minutes south, calmer and a little cheaper, near the "banana village" and Devil's Rock.
Imsouane
A quieter fishing bay about an hour away with one of the longest right-hand waves in Morocco.
Tip: book your first few nights online, then arrange a monthly apartment once you are there, prices are much better in person.
Working Remotely
Internet
Fibre and 4G/5G reach most cafés and stays; a local eSIM or SIM is a smart backup.
Coworking
Dedicated coworking and surf-cowork spaces offer fast wifi, desks and a ready-made community.
Café work
Plenty of sea-view cafés are laptop-friendly; go early to grab a plug and a quiet corner.
Power
Sockets are European (type C/E), 220V. Bring an adapter and a small power bank.

Nomad cafés serve smoothie bowls, salads and plenty of vegan options.
Good to know
Alcohol is limited in the village; buy in Agadir if you want it. Tap water: prefer filtered or bottled.

Culture & Good Manners
- Morocco is welcoming and diverse; everyone is welcome regardless of background or belief.
- Dress is relaxed at the beach; dress modestly in villages, markets and mosques out of respect.
- A little Arabic or French goes a long way; "salam", "shukran" and a smile open doors.
- Bargaining is normal in souks; keep it friendly. Tipping small amounts is appreciated.
- Taghazout and tourist areas are generally safe with normal travel precautions.

Mild and sunny most of the year. September to April is the sweet spot: warm days, cooler evenings.
Can I get by without Arabic?
Yes. French and English are widely understood in tourist areas, though locals love it when you try a few words.
